A trip out to see Bethany and Kimberly was planned about a month ago and finally it arrived. We left on Sunday arrived by dinner time.....we were picked up by a suburban full of "happy people"....who had spent the day at the winery.......then it was off to dinner. Christine and Yvonne had been there a few days already and had been touring and exploring so we managed to have a few hours of us all together. It was like old times........laughing and catching up.........the next day Christine and Yvonne were headed back to Wyoming and Karen, Bethany and I were off to San Francisco. It was a great day of touring, shopping and eating.
The next day we were off to Wine Country.....oh my, Napa is amazing. Wineries on every block.....beautiful green hills covered with grape vines , mustard fields and beautiful homes. We went to 3, all of which Bethany and Kimberly have memberships to so all the wine tastings were free. We started at Miners, then Honic finally finished off with lunch and some tasting at V. Sattui. All were very different and all had different atmospheres. I want to go back so bad and try more!!!
Our third day was a tour of Jelly Belly factory, then off to Sacramento to sight see. Karen and I were on own that day which was okay too. Sacramento was beautiful......not what I was expecting at all. The capital is amazing as well as the old market. Another day would be needed to see the whole city.....maybe next time.
Great friends, great scenery and great WINE.....what more could you ask for?
