On Thursday, July 16th Jason, Lloyd and I headed to Rapid City SD for Amanda's Family 12th Annual Golf Tournament/family reunion. Amanda was in Omaha to finish up her final paper for school so she drove out with her mom and dad. We all met up in Keystone and stayed at the Spokane campground and resort. We rented a cabin which was nice...had a bathroom and shower! There was also a general store that had great sandwiches, coffee, cinnamon rolls and souvenirs. One crazy thing that happened was one of the cabins burned......good thing was no one was there, but Amanda's Aunt and Uncle did lose some things, like golf clubs and the kids lost their electronic games and some cell phones.
Friday morning the whole group was up early for our trip back into Rapid City (it is about 20 miles back) to play golf, eat breakfast and lunch. I won't even get into golf....let just say my first shot was right into the pond. I did have 2 good putts and Amanda had some good drives but we still finished dead last! I think we were just more honest! haha
Saturday was up early for breakfast and then off for some sight seeing. We got to Custer State Park and then to Mount Rushmore.......wanted to do much more but time was limited.........Sunday it was the long drive back this time we had Amanda too, Great Falls was the half way point and Jason and Amanda just kept on going from here.....they got home around 3 in the morning.
Well now it is back in Great Falls and trying to decide what my plans are for next week.....the fair starts!
