First I hate Politics. I hate all the mean bashing of people, religion, family, friends etc. I hate that it can even separate friends, family and spouses. I really hate that we all think we are right. We think we know who has messed up the country! I am really sick of the crap I read in Newspapers, TV news, Internet and Facebook!
I know we all have ideas and personal causes, but right now our personal causes are not going to fix anything. One person can not decide the fate of this country. The political structure prevents this from happening.
I would like to say get rid of the government and let us govern ourselves but we as people can't do anything on our own. Heck we so are helpless it seems we can't even watch TV with out some sort of self help show. We seem to becoming a very hateful group of people. So not to have a government would be a disaster.
So what can we do? The politicians are so bent on fighting with each other they can't see the forest for the trees. We as people are so focused on our own political views we can't see good in anyone.
I learned a long time ago that "Compromise" was the only way to make things work. It is hard to do. We have to do it daily in our relationships and in our work environments. Its how we get things done. So please tell me why politicians have such a hard time with this process?
I think we all need to let our congress and our senators know we want them to start working together. Get off their high horses and start to listen to others and how they might work together to get things accomplished. Everyone needs to give a little to get a little. We also need to look at what is important right now to this country. No matter who wins this election we will continue in the same mess unless our whole government starts to work together and starts to think about the country and not the political party they are affiliated with.
Democrats today say the donkey is smart and brave, while Republicans say the elephant is strong and dignified
Too bad both parties wouldn't look at what their mascots stand for!
