The last few months in Montgomery were just amazing. We traveled a lot around the south and made a trip up to New England to see family. First we headed to NH the end of February for a promotion ceremony. It was the first time our family was able to attend a promotion of Lloyds. It was a small personal ceremony with friends and family and held at our old high school. After that Lloyd headed on a trip to Korea and Japan for a couple of weeks with school and I got to go back to Nashville and then to Memphis with a friend. Just a few weeks later and we were in Destin Florida, Lloyd ran in a half marathon while I enjoyed the area. A couple weeks later and we were in Tampa Florida going to hockey games, visiting with friends and discovering what a beautiful place Tampa is! Then it was a weekend at the Gulf Shores with our neighbors and finally ended our year there with a final trip to Atlanta and one more baseball game. In the middle of all this we found out we were headed back to Omaha and as luck would have it we were moving into our old house and we were quite happy!
We arrived in Omaha the end of May only to leave the next day. We dropped off the dogs at the kennel checked on the house and Lloyd headed up to Alberta to see the kids and our grandson and I went to Las Vegas and Reno for the annual bowling trip. Two weeks later we were back at the house waiting for our stuff and ready to settle in. We also were blessed to have Amanada and Mason here. Jason popped in and out but Amanda and Mason were out here for a bit traveling between her parents and here. It was a hot dry summer but it was so nice to see the kids and be in our house.
We have still been traveling just got back from Alberta and celebrating Jasons 30th birthday. We are starting to get back in the swing of things in the community and on base. I am once again bowling and playing Mah Jong with the spouses group. Lloyd is busy at work, and taking a class in his spare time.
Now our grandson is just the apple of our eye. He is growing like a weed, starting to talk and on the run. He knows all about skype and some days even points to our picture to get his mom to go online. Its funny we hadn't seen in a couple of months and thanks to skype we got there and he knew who we were and was happy to see us. We are so blessed to be able to travel and also that they are traveling down here to see us. In fact they will be here for Christmas with running between families! We can't wait.
That is all our news, it was a great year. I miss Alabama but I really like being here in Omaha too! So far our winter has been pretty mild and no snow to complain about.
We hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday, and had a great year.
Here's to new adventures in 2013!
