We had great plans to head north up to Canada and then to Bawlf for a nice long weekend away from the holiday rush around here and just relax for a bit. I also had great plans of renewing my Passport while up there........however that is not what took place!
Our older dog Jessie went from being great to being old and sick in just a few hours. On Tuesday morning she got up ate had her pill and seemed fine....in fact she played with Charlie and they sort of chased each other around the house. Late Tuesday night she woke us up with an upset tummy.....which is not unusal for a 16 year old dog......however come Wednesday afternoon she still wasn't eating and wasn't acting like herself at all. It continued to get worse through out the day and it was a sleepless night! Needless to say we decided driving for 7 hours with a sick dog was not the best idea. She still hasn't eaten but she is drinking and tonight she actually barked! I am sure she will have to visit the vet sometime tomorrow so we will actually have to find a vet! I was very concerned we might loose her at one point today but tonight she seems a little better.
So once we decided the trip was off we needed to change our plans and enjoy the long weekend no matter what.......so we hit the movies....."Four Christmas's"......not the best movie but it was somewhat entertaining.......so then we came home and put up the tree and Charlie got a bath........in the mean time Jessie is sleeping and she did come out for a bit and watch us decorate the tree.
We do have amazing warm weather so that is nice........Happy Thanksgiving to all and to everyone going out to the crazy shopping tomorrow......GOOD LUCK!
